Qualified Translator and ELT Teacher with proven experience
As a translator, I have so far translated and edited the following types of document:
- Legal translations: commercial agreements and MOUs, powers of attorney and various official documents; birth certificates; marriage certificates, etc.
- Technical translations: software applications, manuals and technical specs for machine-tools and robotised systems; technical reports on urban mobility; environmental reports; EPDs - Environmental Product Declarations; technical manuals for waste management systems; manuals and technical specs for beauty equipment and wellness equipment; technical manuals, training guides and factsheets for driving simulators; etc.
- Commercial translations: commercial correspondence, letters of credit, company presentations, company brochures and catalogues, reports, etc.
- Miscellaneous translations: catalogues, brochures, leaflets and tourism promotional literature; speeches and conference papers; etc.
- Translation/localisation of websites: corporate websites for industrial companies and companies involved in Work Safety and Human Factors; structural glass; industrial automation; earthmoving machinery; environmental services; architecture; building construction, etc.
- Proof-reading of thesis and dissertations.
- Total number of "cartelle" (1500 characters of typed text, spaces included) translated in the last five years: approx 1500.
As an interpreter, I have had extensive experience in trade fairs, congresses, guided company tours and business meetings and negotiations in Italy (Brescia, Bologna and Milan), as well as in Ireland, Spain, England, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and Turkey.
As an ELT teacher, I have organised and delivered English courses –general, business, technical, ESP--, one-to-one or in small groups, in-company or for Training Institutes, in the city and province of Brescia (Italy). Some of them directlycommissioned by the client, some in collaboration with Education and Training Organisations.
